Bartley is responsible for all NIRCA merchandise and apparel, in addition to working with running related sponsors. Ben graduated from Indiana University in April 2006 with his bachelors in math education. After joining the Council in November 2006, he started the Indiana Running Company, a running specialty store in Bloomington (IN).
Ben is also an accomplished runner having won the Pentathlon at the 2007 USATF Field Crew Nationals. He is pictured running his PR of 2:32 in the a 850m steeple chase for the Pentathlon.
