Briley works to spread the word of NIRCA by reaching out to running clubs across the country. Thomas is a 2008 graduate of the University of Michigan where he received his degree in nuclear engineering and radiological sciences. He is currently working on his master's degree at Michigan in the same field. Formerly the president and vice president of the U of M running club, he is also a co-founder of NIRCA.

 Thomas is adept at creating training programs for all abilities, and is a USATF Level One certified track & field coach with a 5k PR of a 16:11 and a 1600m PR of 4:44.
